While the RCMP Member continues to perform police duties in conjunction with the schools, he/she also conducts educational programs such as DARE, anger management, peer resolution, and passing on the message that police are not people to be avoided. By having one officer looking after the policing duties of the schools, it also allows for continuity and a chance for the students to become familiar with the member, thereby creating a more friendly atmosphere.
